1. Choose your pieces and frames. I went with a collection of my husband’s charcoal drawings and black frames for the end of our main hallway. Grouped together they make a dramatic statement and the hallway showcases the impromptu punch of rock star cool perfectly. Keeping all the frames one color allows the art and photos to tell their story. Incorporate unexpected items like the driftwood or vinyl record shapes that make people stop on the way to the bathroom to look. Along the bottom I choose to add three retro clipboards to hang my children’s artwork, sweet notes and reminders. Changing these occasionally keeps the arrangement from getting stagnant.…
